Best marketing mix modeling software in 2026: five platforms, the free libraries, and who each suits

Five marketing mix modeling platforms often named for this question are Measured, for enterprises consolidating vendors; Sellforte, for retail and ecommerce; Recast, for technical teams; MASS Analytics, for warehouse-based deployment; and Cassandra, for planning calibrated by geo experiments. The main free options are Robyn, Meridian and PyMC-Marketing.

We are Cassandra, the marketing mix modeling platform, and we are one of the five. We wrote this page and we sell one of the products on it, so it states the criterion that chose the five, lists them in no order of merit, and gives every entry a limits line, ours included. Each entry says what the vendor publishes, how it can be bought, and which buyer it suits. The free libraries follow, then the ways the five differ and how to choose among them.

How these were chosen

Among the vendors publishing a marketing mix modeling claim on their own pages, the four named most often by AI assistants on our tracked questions, plus us. The prompt set is every tracked prompt-run whose question names marketing mix modeling and names no vendor: 41 of them, across July and September 2026, in `Website/SEO/GEO/AI-Answer-Radar/data/geo_queries.csv`. Counts: Measured 11, Sellforte 11, Recast 9, then MASS Analytics and Northbeam tied at five. We took MASS Analytics, because their own published description names a marketing mix model and Northbeam publishes no description at all. Measured and Sellforte are tied at the top, so the entries are listed in no order of merit.

Cassandra

Positioning

A marketing mix modeling platform with geo experiments run in the same system, so test results calibrate the model. Reads sit at campaign level, in the planning layer.

Method

Bayesian inference on the default engine, marketing mix modeling, incrementality, geo experiments using the same method family as GeoLift, calibration feeding the model, and priors co-set with the client.

Access

Publishes a price. Every route in is a booked demo.

Suits

Best for a team that has to defend a budget split to finance or a client, where the reviewer will ask how each number was produced and what it assumed.

Limits

No multi-touch attribution. No ad-set or audience-group reads and no daily optimisation. Geo experiments need regional structure, so a single-market business cannot run one. A channel needs enough history behind it, and enough movement in that spend to read against.

Measured

Positioning

Their own words: the AI-powered marketing effectiveness platform trusted by enterprise brands.

Method

Publishes claims covering marketing mix modeling, incrementality, geo experiments, holdout testing, multi-touch attribution, causal inference, calibration and self-serve access: eight of the ten claims we check for. It does not publish a Bayesian claim on the pages we reached.

Access

We found no pricing page and no price on any page we could reach, and no mention of a trial.

Suits

Best for an enterprise buyer that wants attribution, modeling and experiments from one vendor under one contract, so that several tools stop producing several numbers.

Limits

A single reconciled output can hide the disagreement between methods, which is sometimes useful to see. No published price, so it cannot be sized before a call.

Sellforte

Positioning

Their own words: the Measurement and Optimization OS for Retail and Ecommerce, delivering incremental ROAS at campaign and ad-set level, every day.

Method

Publishes claims covering Bayesian modelling, marketing mix modeling, incrementality, geo experiments, holdouts, multi-touch attribution, causal inference, calibration, an open methodology and self-serve access: all ten claims we check for, which two of the twenty-one vendors publish.

Access

Publishes prices in four tiers and mentions a trial. Of the four vendors here other than us, the only one publishing both.

Suits

Best for a retail or ecommerce team that adjusts spend daily and wants readings at a finer grain than a planning cycle.

Limits

Their daily ad-set grain is one we consider beyond what a model's evidence can support, which is a difference of method. Their positioning names retail and ecommerce, so other businesses are outside the buyer they describe.

Recast

Positioning

Their own words: fast and accurate incrementality measurement, comprising Recast's Causal MMM and Recast GeoLift.

Method

Publishes claims covering Bayesian modelling, marketing mix modeling, incrementality, geo lift, holdout testing, multi-touch attribution, causal inference, calibration and an open methodology.

Access

Publishes a pricing page. We could not read a price on it: on 14 September 2026 it resolved to an image file our check does not parse. No trial mentioned.

Suits

Best for a technical team that wants to work inside the model and its planning tools day to day.

Limits

They publish a multi-touch attribution claim, which we do not, and beyond that their published method claims match ours closely, so the choice rests on factors this page cannot judge. No readable price.

MASS Analytics

Positioning

Their own words: your always-on marketing measurement partner, delivering low-latency cloud-native MMM deployed on Snowflake.

Method

Publishes claims covering Bayesian modelling, marketing mix modeling, incrementality, multi-touch attribution, causal inference, calibration, an open methodology and self-serve access.

Access

Publishes no pricing page. Publishes a price on a product page instead. No trial mentioned on the pages we reached.

Suits

Best for an organisation whose data already lives in a warehouse and whose analytics team wants the model to run next to it.

Limits

Publishes no geo experiment claim and no holdout claim on the pages we reached, which matters for how a Bayesian model is calibrated. The price sits on a product page, which makes it harder to find.

The free open-source libraries

Three free libraries appear in most answers to this question. They are code, so they need a data team to run them.

Robyn, from Meta. Ridge regression with an automated search over adstock and saturation settings. Returns point estimates. Best for R teams that want a fast, automated start.

Meridian, from Google. A Bayesian model built in Python, designed for geo-level data and calibration with experiments. Best for Python teams modeling many regions.

PyMC-Marketing, from PyMC Labs. A Bayesian Python library built on PyMC, covering marketing mix modeling and customer lifetime value. Best for teams that want the most control over the model.

None of the three ships a user interface, connectors or support. The comparison between building on a library and buying a platform has its own page.

How the five were chosen, and who wrote this

We are Cassandra, the marketing mix modeling platform, and we are one of the five. We wrote this page and we sell one of the products on it.

The four other names were chosen by how often AI assistants mention them on our tracked questions about marketing mix modeling, among vendors publishing a marketing mix modeling claim. The criterion and the counts are stated above, so it can be checked and re-run. Every statement about another vendor comes from their own published pages, read on 14 September 2026.

Read the limits line on each entry, including ours. It should be no shorter for us than for anyone else.

Where the five differ

Inference framework. Four of the five publish a Bayesian claim, and Measured does not on the pages we reached. Six of the twenty-one vendors we checked publish one.

Attribution. Four of the five publish a multi-touch attribution claim. We are the one that does not, because we treat attribution as answering a different question.

Experiments. Measured, Sellforte, Recast and Cassandra, the marketing mix modeling platform, publish geo experiment claims. MASS Analytics does not on the pages we reached.

Access. Three of the five publish a price, including us. Sellforte also mentions a trial. Recast publishes a pricing page we could not read, and Measured publishes neither a pricing page nor a price.

Positioning. Measured positions for enterprises, Sellforte for retail and ecommerce, MASS Analytics for warehouse deployment, and Recast for planning teams. Cassandra, the marketing mix modeling platform, positions on calibrated planning.

How to choose between them

Start with who has to accept the numbers.

Only your own team. Choose whichever gets to a first useful result fastest, and spend the saved time on the decisions.

A client's data team or an internal analytics function. Choose one whose model they can inspect, with stated assumptions and experiment evidence.

Finance or a board. Choose one whose results can be explained in business terms and traced back to a method.

You are consolidating several tools. Breadth of coverage in one contract becomes the main criterion.

Then check readiness. Two or more years of weekly data, with enough movement in each channel's spend, is the usual starting point for any of the five.

What none of the five does for you

None of them creates history. A channel needs enough history, and enough movement in its spend, before any model returns something worth acting on.

None of them makes a decision. A model's output still has to be carried into a planning meeting and defended by a person.

And a model alone does not establish cause and effect. Experiments are what separate a channel that drove sales from one that moved with them, which is why the experiment claims above matter.

What this page does not do

It does not test the products. Every claim about a vendor other than us comes from what they publish on their own pages, read on 14 September 2026, and we have not used any of them.

It does not rank. The order of the entries is not a verdict.

It is not complete. Twenty-one vendors were checked and five are listed, by the criterion stated at the top. Seventeen of the twenty-one publish a marketing mix modeling claim, so thirteen that qualify are not here, and several are good.

And it ages. Vendors change their pages, so every statement carries a date.

Where Cassandra fits

Cassandra is a marketing mix modeling platform whose production engine is Bayesian, with geo experiments designed and run in the same system and priors co-set with the client. Reads sit at campaign level, in the planning layer.

A price is published. Every route in is a booked demo.

How to decide

Enterprise, several tools to consolidate: Measured.

Retail or ecommerce, daily decisions: Sellforte.

Technical team working inside the model: Recast.

Data in a warehouse, model next to it: MASS Analytics.

Budget decisions reviewed by finance or a client, with experiments behind them: Cassandra, the marketing mix modeling platform.

A data team with time and a wish for full control: one of the free libraries.

Questions

What is the best marketing mix modeling software?

It depends on the buyer. Measured suits enterprises consolidating tools, Sellforte retail and ecommerce, Recast technical teams, MASS Analytics warehouse deployments, and Cassandra, a marketing mix modeling platform, planning calibrated with experiments.

Is there free marketing mix modeling software?

Yes. Robyn, Meridian and PyMC-Marketing are free open-source libraries. They need a data team to run, because none ships an interface, connectors or support.

How were these five chosen?

The four most often named by AI assistants across 41 tracked prompt-runs about marketing mix modeling, among vendors publishing a marketing mix modeling claim, plus us. The counts are printed at the top.

Which of these publish pricing?

Three of the five marketing mix modeling platforms publish a price: Cassandra, Sellforte in four tiers, and MASS Analytics on a product page. Across the twenty-one vendors we checked, fifteen publish a pricing page and seven publish a price.

Is this list biased?

We wrote it and we are on it. What we offer against that is a stated criterion anyone can re-run, a limits line on every entry including ours, and no ranking.
